Top 5 Most Fuel-Efficient Vehicles in 10 Different Segments
Tired of stopping at the gas station? Looking for a more fuel-efficient vehicle? Of course, there are fully electric models, but these are not for everyone or every budget, especially with government incentives less generous than in recent years.
Hybrids, on the other hand, offer a nice alternative—except when their purchase price is considerably higher than that of a gas-only equivalent. The truth is, if your goal is to save money at the pump, you need to take into account the difference in fuel consumption, your annual mileage and the average price per liter in order to calculate the return on your investment.
That’s not what we’ll be doing here. Instead, we’ve simply analyzed the Natural Resources Canada database and compiled the five most fuel-efficient vehicles in ten different categories for the 2025 model year. Curious? Scroll down to see the results!
Note: The fuel consumption ratings shown represent the lowest combined city/highway average for a given model. We have not included diesel-powered vehicles.
