The McLaren Senna
The McLaren Senna is a car designed to devour a racetrack, but that can legally be driven on public roads. Aboard this machine, it’s simply impossible to go unnoticed. Its name pays tribute to the late, great Ayrton Senna, a three-time F1 World Champion with the McLaren racing team. The mid-mounted, twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 produces 789 horsepower (800 PS) and 590 pound-feet of torque, allowing the Senna to blast from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km/h.
Its jaw-dropping bodywork includes a massive rear wing and boasts a finely studied design to maximize aerodynamics. As for its cockpit, the overall presentation is elemental, but nonetheless features comfort with ultra-light sport seats as well as convenience with the central touchscreen for controlling the car’s main functions. Only 500 units of the McLaren Senna have been produced, which all sold in a heartbeat. In Canada, the car costs USD$989,850, or more than CAN$1.8 million.
